Eurocon XV: Our Conference Prayer
(This prayer should be recited with deep contemplation and reflection in all
household meetings from now until 13 August 2010.)
Almighty Father, You are lavish in bestowing all Your gifts. We give You thanks for the favors You have given us and the priviledge to love and serve You through this community.

THE BOOK OF ALL BOOKS
Compare the Holy Bible to a treasure chest
You’ll find precious jewels in abundance
Gold, silver, diamonds, pearls, emerald crest
Opulent ornaments one is prone to prance.
Pure gold of KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM
Silver VERSES which guide our way to God’s kingdom
Diamonds and sparkling trinkets of TRUTHS
Thread of pearls connected as to WORDS
Glittering emeralds of treasured TEACHINGS.
When times are dreary and you are weary
Flip open its pages and find life’s directions
It will calm your heart and you will feel cheery
Spirits are uplifted and gone are your worries.

Is Everything Working Out For Good? Many of us know Romans:8:28-29 [28] and he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah. [29] And the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. . It pulled us through times of depression, war, illness and times of disappointment. This text is one of the most meaningful passages in Bible! When interpreted in the context in which it is found, will bring unlimited comfort, and cheer, in time of testing. However, this text is not passive, accepting an attitude of "what will be, will be." Nor does it mean to accept everything that comes our way as being from God. At times, this text seems confusing because those who love God most often seem to get the worst life can give. And, then too, there are those who attempt to "sweep their mistakes under the rug" by simply quoting, "all things work together for good!".

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sis Pacita Goldschmidt (Handmaids of the Lord) CFC Essen who passed away this morning. May she rest in Peace. Amen
